Extended time limit queues

Note

The expectation is that jobs that require a long time will be broken into smaller jobs and use checkpointing to allow restarts. Access to these queues will only be granted where it is demonstrated that the software being used needs longer than is available in the equivalent standard queue and that checkpointing is not an option.

To apply for access to these extended time limit queues, please open an Other BEAR Request.

bblong

This is equivalent to bbdefault with a 30 day time limit.

Warning

If we need to arrange system maintenance then this may require us to cancel any job longer than the 10 day standard time limit. If this is needed then we will provide 10 days notice.

bbgpulong

This is equivalent to bbgpu with a 5 day time limit.
